In another triumph, our intellectual property department successfully responded to an appealed opposition made on behalf of the Group’s client, Bayer’s. Following the successful result of an opposition of a similar trademark to that of our Bayer’s “Confidor”, by the Group, we continued to defend the Bayer trademark in the Court of Cessation as a result of the appeal submitted by the opposition. Our team displayed to the Court the long use of the Bayer trademark internationally, as well as its significant in its class, as a result, the Court upheld the Trademarks Office’s decision to cancel the registration of the infringingly similar mark that was filed in the same period of time.
